Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011069790A1] The invention relates to a braking system of a two-axle, two-track motor vehicle (20) having a first hydraulic service brake associated with one of the two axles (21, 22), by means of which friction brakes (12, 13) provided on the wheels (21a, 21b) of said axle (21) can be hydraulically actuated by the driver of the motor vehicle by actuating a brake pedal (23) or the like in the context of specifying a negative forward drive without interconnecting a servo brake, and having a second electromotive service brake associated with the other axle (22), by means of which brake the wheels (22a, 22b) of said other axle (22) are braked by at least one electric motor (10, 11) actuated such that no critical brake slip takes place on the wheels (22a, 22b) of said axle (22) by the driver by means of actuating the same brake pedal (23) and interconnecting an anti-lock braking system. The electric motor (10, 11) braking the wheels of one axle can function as a drive system and drive the wheel(s) (22a, 22b) of said axle (22) when the driver indicates a positive forward drive of the vehicle. Alternatively or additionally, each wheel of the axle that can be braked by an electric motor can be associated with an electric motor actuating a friction brake associated with said wheel.
