[origin: WO2011071756A1] The present invention relates to a method of lubricating a driveline device comprising supplying to the driveline device a lubricating composition comprising an oil of lubricating viscosity and an aromatic hydroxy-substituted compound. The invention further provides for the use of the lubricating composition comprising the aromatic hydroxy-substituted compound as at least one of a filterability aid, and a wax crystal growth modifier/gelation inhibitor in the driveline device.
