Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011070161A1] The invention relates to a signal light device for a motor vehicle, including: a plate (3) made of a transparent optical material forming a screen, said plate comprising at least one bilateral elongate bulge (4) having a substantially circular overall cross-section, the mid longitudinal axis of same being in the mid-plane of said plate and capable of forming a light guide, and at least one LED (5) positioned at at least one of the ends of said light guide, the main orthogonal axis thereof being at the longitudinal axis of said light guide. The invention is of use for running lights which illuminate more quickly, have reduced overall dimensions and a lower CO2 emissions output, and which are capable of obtaining stylistic effects.
