[origin: EP2510824A1] The socket (10) comprises a seat surface (20) and a stop (17,62) provided on the side of a precious stone (40) opposite to the seat surface for limiting the tilting movement of the precious stone. A bearing element (22) is provided between the precious stone and the seat surface. A socket base (30) is mounted on the seat surface of the bearing element. The socket base comprises a retaining element (33) on its upper side (23) for the precious stone. An annular stop element (37) is provided as a stop on the side of the socket base opposite to the seat surface against a shoulder of the socket.
