[origin: EP2511207A2] The temporary storage-device (10) has multiple adjacent rolling stations (D1 to D4), to which the temporary storing products are assigned for rolling onto the connecting lines (14), or from which the temporary storing products are conveyed after rolling onto the connecting lines, and has an infeed line (11) and a delivery line (12). The transfer devices (13) are arranged on the connecting lines in a drivable manner. The transfer devices selectively connect the connecting lines with an infeed line or the delivery line for transferring the flat products between the lines. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a temporary storage-device.
