[origin: EP2511913A1] The cable has two wires (1, 2) surrounded by a common electrical shield (7) and formed by conductors (3) which are surrounded by insulators (4), where the wires are stranded together. A circumferentially extending insulation layer (8) is formed over the electrical shield, where the insulators are composed of poorly compressible, cross-linked elastomer insulation material whose insulation resistance constant at room temperature is greater than 4,000 megaohm per kilometer. The shield is composed of non-woven polyamide-based fabric which is rendered electrically conductive by metallization.
