Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2511930A1] The switch has a connection plate (1) with a fixed contact (2), and another connection plate (3) with a movable contact (5), where the plates are connected with insulator bodies (6a, 6b). The movable contact is secured at a leg (4a) of a spring (4), where the latter connection plate contacts another leg (4b) of the spring. A bimetallic disk (7) pushes a plunger provided between the former leg and the disk so as to separate the movable and fixed contacts upon exceeding switching temperature. A housing (10) includes an open narrow side for insertion of the insulator bodies into the housing.
