[origin: WO2011073547A1] The invention relates to a manual polishing device (1), provided with a handle (2) including an air supply coupling and provided with an air exhaust member, and provided with a head (3) including a polishing median (6), said device including a means for conveying air between the air supply coupling and said head (3), in the form of a duct (11) built into the handle (2), such as to use the exhaust air to cool said head (3) as well as the outer surface to be polished. Said exhaust air is diffused by a plurality of nozzles (18) through the polishing median (6), the head (3) includes a skirt (4) and the duct (11) leads into the head (3) on a line with the skirt (4). The skirt (4) is cylindrical and has two concentric walls (8, 9), the outer wall (9) comprising an opening (20) suitable for conveying the air from the duct (11) into the space (14) located between the two walls (8, 9), the inner wall (8) having a plurality of holes (10) for radially diffusing the air inside the skirt (4).
