[origin: WO2011072807A1] The present invention relates to a device for printing 300 sheet-like elements 10, which includes a platen press 310 capable of depositing onto each sheet 10, via hot stamping, a colored or metalized film derived from at least one strip to be stamped 320, as well as transporting means 340 capable of inserting each sheet 10 one after the other into the platen press 310 by drawing said sheet 10 via the front edge thereof. The invention is characterized in that the printing device 300 further comprises means 360 capable of partially holding each sheet 10 by the rear portion thereof during the phase for inserting said sheet 10 into the platen press 310.
