[origin: WO2011082897A1] The invention relates to a lift installation (1) comprising a lift cage supporting frame (2) that can travel in a travel space (3) provided for a journey of the lift cage supporting frame (2). Said lift installation is also provided with a first lift cage (15) and a second lift cage (16) arranged on the lift cage supporting frame (2). Furthermore,a hydraulic moving element (24) is arranged in a lower end region (22) of the travel space (3). In this way, the first lift cage (15) can be moved in relation to the second lift cage, by the moving device (24), in the lower end region (22) of the travel space (3).
