[origin: WO2011072795A1] The invention relates to an audio apparatus (1) including outer terminals for connecting to outer speakers (11g, 11d), and including means for establishing an electric signal between the outer terminals, which is representative of an audio source for injecting an electric excitation current into each outer speaker (11g, 11d). According to the invention, means are provided for integrating a component into the electric signal established between the outer terminals, which has a so-called detection frequency that is situated outside the audible spectrum, as well as means (13g, 13d) for detecting an electric current flowing between the outer terminals and having a frequency corresponding to the detection frequency. The invention is applicable in particular to systems including a mobile apparatus and a stationary docking station integrating a bass reflex speaker and intended to receive the mobile apparatus.
