Abstract (en)

The invention relates to a jack-up offshore platform (1). The platform comprises a work deck (2) supported by spud poles (3) and adjustable in height above the water surface, wherein at least one spud pole comprises means (20) for reducing lateral oscillating movements of the platform. The jack-up platform can be utilized at greater water depths than the known platform. The invention also relates to a method for operating a jack-up offshore platform in a water mass with strong current.
