[origin: EP2514911A1] The device has two hydraulic drives (11, 111), and a pump arrangement with pump units (10, 110), where the pump units comprise respective hydraulic pumps (12, 112) connected with the drives. A rotation motor (2) e.g. electric motor, has an output shaft (4) and drives the pumps, where output of the motor is distributed between the pumps. Two pump controllers control output of the pumps, and an adjusting device adjusts the distribution of the motor output between the pumps. The adjusting device has an operating element i.e. potentiometer, for adjusting distribution ratio of the motor output. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a drilling device.
