Abstract (en)
The fireplace (1) has a fixed part surrounding an opening toward a combustion chamber. A movable part is opposite to an opening and a sealing device. The movable part includes a glass wall (2), and a sliding unit slides the wall in translation to release an access to the opening. A sealing device includes a seal placed on the fixed part and an application unit to apply the seal on the movable part. The application unit is configured for being activated only when the opening is blocked so as to avoid friction of the seal against the movable part when the wall slides.

La présente invention se rapporte à un foyer comportant une partie fixe encadrant une ouverture vers une chambre de combustion, une partie mobile en vis-à-vis de ladite ouverture et un dispositif d'étanchéité, ladite partie mobile comportant une paroi (2) et des moyens de coulissement en translation de ladite paroi (2) permettant de dégager un accès à l'ouverture, ledit foyer étant caractérisé en ce que le dispositif d'étanchéité comporte un joint (5) disposé sur la partie fixe encadrant l'ouverture et des moyens d'application dudit joint (5) sur la partie mobile configurés pour être activés uniquement lorsque l'ouverture est obstruée, évitant ainsi le frottement du joint (5) contre la partie mobile lorsque la paroi (2) coulisse.
