[origin: WO2011076163A1] The invention relates to a device for obtaining ultrasound-based image data of osseous structures, in particular for three-dimensionally reconstructing bone surfaces, comprising a liquid container (1), into which the extremity (2) to be examined can be immersed. In the liquid container (1), an ultrasonic head (3) is arranged and directed toward the extremity (2), wherein the liquid container (1) together with the ultrasonic head (3) can be pivoted around the immersed extremity (2). Thus, a device has been created that allows an ultrasound device to be used and at the same time allows image data to be obtained in order to three-dimensionally reconstruct the bone surface in a reliable manner. Furthermore, the use of x-ray devices to diagnose bone fractures is thus unnecessary in most cases.
