[origin: WO2011076353A1] The invention relates to a reinforcing element (1) for a glove, in particular for a goalkeeper's glove, which is designed to permit bending in a first bending direction and to prevent bending in a second bending direction opposite to the first bending direction. In order to reliably prevent the knuckles from being subjected to severe stress when punching a ball, according to the invention the reinforcing element (1) comprises two bending elements (2, 3) extending in the longitudinal direction (L) of the fingers. The bending elements have a number of blocking elements (4) to prevent bending in the second bending direction. When used properly, the two bending elements (2, 3) extend laterally next to the finger to be protected (23), wherein the two bending elements (2, 3) are connected to each other by means of at least two connecting bridges (5, 6, 7, 8). Furthermore, the invention relates to a glove, in particular a goalkeeper's glove, having such a reinforcing element.
