[origin: WO2011085859A1] The invention relates to a filter unit for an extractor hood (1), comprising a filter element (23) that at least partially covers the suction opening (1111) of the extractor hood (1). The filter unit is characterized in that the filter unit (2) comprises an air deflector (21) that at least surrounds the filter element (23), and a baffle plate (22) that completely covers the filter surface of the filter element (23).
