[origin: WO2011085897A1] The invention relates to a light emitting diode assembly (1) having a first light emitting diode chip (2), a second light emitting diode chip (3) and a light emission conversion element (4, 4a, 4b). The first light emitting diode chip (2) is designed to emit blue light. The second light emitting diode chip (3) comprises a semiconductor layer sequence, which is designed to emit green light. The light emission conversion element (4, 4a, 4b) is designed to convert a part of the blue light emitted by the first light emitting diode chip (2) to red light. The light emitting diode assembly (1) is designed to radiate mixed light which comprises blue light from the first light emitting diode chip (2), green light from the second light emitting diode chip (3) and red light from the light emission conversion element (4). The invention also relates to a backlighting device (10) and to a display device.
