Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2518252A2] The closer (1) has a gear assembly arranged in a housing (2). Overflow channels are arranged in the housing, and butterfly valves are arranged in the overflow channels for controlling behavior of the door closer. Pressure increase caused from a determined door opening angle by one of the butterfly valves for aperture attenuation in a spring chamber (12) is directly blocked against an axial space (15) before setting pressure increase in the spring chamber by a sealing device that is located in a working position by movement of a piston rod (7).
