The fire-retarding closure is in the form of a curtain (3).The curtain comprises two layers of material, which are connected to one another in order to form an inner space. The inner space is filled partially with a thermally expanding material. An INDEPEDENT CLAIM is also included for a fire retarding unit.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen brandabwehrenden Abschluss in der Form eines Vorhangs (3), der erfindungsgemäß zumindest zwei Lagen Stoff (7, 8) umfasst, die miteinander verbunden sind, um einen inneren Raum (9, 10, 18) zu bilden, wobei der innere Raum (9, 10, 18) teilweise mit thermisch expandierendem Material (13) gefüllt ist, wobei das thermisch expandierende Material (13) schlangenförmig in rippenförmigen Säckchen angeordnet ist, die in Längsrichtung (L) miteinander verbunden sind.
