[origin: EP2520746A1] The electrically actuated lock comprises a latch (4), which is guided by a housing-fixed guide into a lock housing (1), and a locking element (8), which is mounted in the lock housing and is actuated from a locking position into an unlocked position. An actuating unit (10) is provided, which is mounted in the lock housing, which is operated by an electric drive over two movement areas. The electric drive comprises a stepping motor, where the stepping motor is connected directly or indirectly with a linear drive.
