Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2520862A1] The device (100) has a voltage supply device (130) i.e. transformer, connected with flame detectors (110, 120) for supplying alternating voltage to the flame detectors. An evaluation circuit (150) is connected with the flame detectors via a common signal input (138) i.e. connection contact. The flame detectors are connected relative to the voltage supply device and the evaluation circuit such that measurement signals present at the signal input in two half waves are indicative of an intensity of UV radiations. The evaluation circuit evaluates the signals independent of each other. An independent claim is also included for a method for independently monitoring presence of flames in a fuel combustion device.
