Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2520889A1] The device has a fluidic pipe (CF) to connect first and second diphasic fluid reservoirs (R1, R2). The pipe has an evaporator (EV) thermally connected to a hot plane (PC), and two condensers (C1, C2) thermally connected to a cold source (SF). First and second heating units (MC1, MC2) of the reservoirs and the pipe are arranged such that activation of the first unit causes expulsion of a diphasic fluid (LC) from the first reservoir toward the second reservoir via the pipe and activation of the second unit causes fluid expulsion from the second reservoir toward the first reservoir via the pipe. The diphasic fluid is a cryogenic fluid such as liquid nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, neon or helium. The hot plane serves as a hot source and is connected to an object (O) to be cooled. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a heat transfer system (2) a method of cooling or precooling an object.
