Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2520899A2] The projectile (1) has a mechanical damping system comprising a plunger (3), a thrust bearing (4) that is arranged downstream in a cylinder bore and an integrated spring (5) provided in the cylinder bore. A plunger lock (6) is provided in the thrust bearing, and locks the plunger, where the plunger and the thrust bearing are made of aluminum and/or steel. The plunger is inserted and/or fastened by a rubber casing (10) that is in the thrust bearing. Another thrust bearing comprises a wedge adapted to a plastic tube.
