Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2522905A2] The method involves transporting a burn-off product (2) e.g. ash, and allowing falling of the burn-off product. A set of properties e.g. moisture, of the burn-off product is detected by utilizing microwaves (3) during falling of the burn-off product. The detected properties of the burn-off product are transmitted to a control unit (4) and evaluated. A set of transportation parameters e.g. burn-off product refrigeration parameters, is controlled based on the evaluation of the detected properties of the burn-off product. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for operating an incinerator (2) a conveying device (3) an incinerator.
