[origin: WO2011086158A1] The invention relates to a system (10) for removing banknotes from at least one banknote transporting unit (12) and/or for feeding banknotes to the banknote transporting unit (12). The system (10) has a docking station (14) comprising a receiving area (16) secured by a safe for receiving the banknote transporting unit (12) and a control unit (28) for controlling the docking station (14). The docking station (14) comprises a first transmitting and/or receiving unit (24) for transmitting and/or receiving data, said first transmitting and/or receiving unit (24) being connected to the control unit (28) via a data transmitting element (30). The banknote transporting unit (12) comprises a storage element (18) and a second transmitting and/or receiving unit (22) for transmitting and/or receiving data. In a first operating state, the banknote transporting unit (12) is received in the receiving area (16) of the docking station (14) and a data transmission connection between the first and second transmitting and/or receiving unit (22, 24) is established.
