[origin: WO2011086028A1] The invention relates to an arc chamber for a circuit breaker, comprising a first and a second mounting body (1, 2). The mounting bodies (1, 2) are each disposed at the end at an electrically insulating insulation section (8) of the arc chamber. The insulation section (8) comprises at least two shell-shaped partial sections (9a, 9b). The partial sections (9a, 9b) are curved concavely, wherein a gap (10a, 10b) is formed between the edges of the bodies of the partial sections (9a, 9b).
