The crane controller includes a load moment limitation system which determines the maximum permitted payload, set in communication with a measuring unit for measuring the movement of ship (1). The maximum permitted payload is determined on the basis of data of the measuring unit. The load moment limitation system determines the speed and/or acceleration of the boom tip, in particular in the vertical direction, by the evaluation of data of the measuring unit for measuring the movement of ship, to determine the maximum permitted payload. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) method of operating crane arranged on ship; and (2) crane control program.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Kransteuerung für einen auf einem Schiff (1) angeordneten Kran (3), mit einer Lastmomentbegrenzung, welche eine maximal zulässige Traglast bestimmt, wobei die Lastmomentbegrenzung mit einer Meßeinheit (MU1, MU2) zur Messung der Bewegung des Schiffes in Verbindung steht und die maximal zulässige Traglast auf Grundlage von Daten der Meßeinheit bestimmt.
