The device (1) has a housing for incorporating four receiving elements (2) e.g. bowl, where each receiving element defines a receiving volume for receiving a ballasting product e.g. gravel. The receiving elements are separated from one another by grooves (6a, 6b), which extend along two distinct directions. A supporting unit supports a ballasting slab or post of guardrails. The supporting unit comprises a central platform (10) from which four projections (100) are extended. The projections are formed in bottom parts of the grooves, and ensure spacing of the adjacent receiving elements. An independent claim is also included for an installation for ballasting a guardrail.

Dispositif de lestage (1) d'un garde-corps, notamment pour toiture ou terrasse, comportant un boîtier intégrant : - au moins quatre organes de réception (2) délimitant chacun un volume de réception adapté pour recevoir une masse de lestage et séparés les uns des autres par des gorges (6a, 6b) qui s'étendent selon deux directions distinctes, et - des moyens de support d'une dalle de lestage ou d'un poteau de garde-corps, lesdits moyens de support comprenant une plateforme centrale (10) à partir de laquelle s'étendent de manière coplanaire au moins quatre prolongements (100) formant les fonds des encoches (6a, 6b) et espaçant chacun deux organes de réception (2) adjacents.
