Abstract (en)
A fastener driving tool (1) arranged to drive fasteners into a workpiece comprises a support (3), a pair of sub-assemblies (2) movably mounted on the support (3), each subassembly comprising a motor (13) and an associated flywheel (17), and a nose part (14) retractable relative to the support (3). The tool is arranged such that, in use, when the nose part (14) is retracted, its movement relative to the support (3) mechanically forces the sub-assemblies (2) towards each other. The forcing of the sub-assemblies towards each other by the retraction of the nose part (14) may move the sub-assemblies (2) from an inoperative position to an operative position.
