Abstract (en)

The method involves treating the elongated medium (3) in a frieze unit (2), after carrying out power-heat setting process with respect to the elongated medium. The elongated medium is immediately set into the defined linear oscillating motion which is transverse to the conveying direction, before passing it to the frieze unit. The size of oscillatory deflection (X) of the medium is selected freely within a certain range. An independent claim is included for apparatus for individual molding of elongated medium such as carpet yarn.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung (1) zur individuellen Formgebung eines langgestreckten Mediums (3), insbesondere eines Teppichgarnes, das in einer Frieze-Einheit (2) behandelt und anschließend nach dem Power-Heat-Set Verfahren fixiert wird. Dabei vollzieht das langgestreckte Medium (3) unmittelbar vor dem Eintritt in die Frieze-Einheit (2) eine definierte, geführte, linear oszillierende Bewegung quer zur Transportrichtung.
