[origin: WO2011090405A1] The invention relates to the field of construction, in particular to systems for decorating corners and joints between surfaces having in particular uneven portions and can be used for hermetically sealing joins between the floor and the walls. The skirting-board profile is formed from agglomerated cork - 1 in the form of cork oak bark crumb pressed at a high temperature. The outer decorative part of the skirting board - 2 is in the form of a sheet of natural veneer of valuable wood species. The veneer sheet 2 is mounted on the front surface of the fitted part of the skirting board as far as the part of the surface which is in the form of a rounded edge 5. The structure of the skirting board produced has elasticity, moisture-resistance and flexibility and, owing to the materials used for manufacturing the skirting board, can easily be fitted to any desired uneven or difficult wall and floor.
