[origin: EP2529835A2] The device (10) has a separation chamber with a supply side (34) and an exhaust side (38), where the separation chamber is surrounded by a cylindrical separation chamber wall. Two successive sections (22,24,26) of the separation chamber are provided in an axial direction, where a rotor (16,18,20) is arranged in each section with the striking tools (42,44,46,48,50,52) extending into the separation chamber in a radial manner. The rotor has a rotor casing (17,19,21), whose radius increases from the supply side to the exhaust side.
