Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011095726A1] The invention relates to a method for opening a seal that includes a metal sheet and a thermoplastic resin layer by means of which the seal is heat-sealed onto the locking ring of a jar or similar glass container, said locking ring being pre-coated with a heat-sealing primer, the heat-sealed seal enabling the jar or similar glass container to be closed in a sealing manner, said method being characterized in that the initial and final removing forces are at most 28 N when peeling the seal at 90° C at a speed of 300 mm/min; to a jar or similar glass container capable of implementing said method, said jar or similar glass container being characterized in that the heat-sealing primer coating includes an organic and/or inorganic material having organic and/or inorganic fillers mixed therein; and to the use of said method or said jar or similar glass container for packaging agri-food materials.
