Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2532257A1] The drum i.e. cutter drum (36), has conveying segments (50) arranged in a circumferential direction of the drum. The drum is rotatable around a rotational axis. The conveying segments are provided behind each other in regular intervals. Gaps are provided between the conveying segments in the circumferential direction. Each segment includes three segment bodies (64.A-64.C), which are displaceably designed relative to each other in an axial parallel direction to the rotational axis of the drum. Each segment includes a support surface (40) for material strip sections. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing filter cigarettes.
