[origin: EP2532426A2] The cartridge (100) has a first drum (108) having a first chamber (124), and a displacement device that is configured to rotate the first drum about a center axis (104) to selectively connect the first chamber to a second chamber (122) or a third chamber (120) to conduct liquid, gas, and particles. The displacement device is equipped with an actuator (139) which is configured to rotate the first drum about the center axis. The actuator is of electrically operated type, mechanically operated type and is operated by pressure. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) centrifuge; and (2) method for processing cartridge.
