Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2532787A1] The barrier (100) has V supports (110) fixed firmly on ground in operative position, and lower and upper slides (120, 130) fixed to the supports. The lower slide is fixed to the supports by a deformable spacer (121) in a calibrated manner. The supports include non-deformable V shaped retaining wings (111, 112) arranged in an upper position with respect to the lower slide, so that the lower slide is shifted vertically with respect to the wings after an impact when the wings remain in utilization position above a light vehicle. The lower slide is remote from a traffic lane (200) as the wings. An independent claim is also included for a method for improving absorption of energy of impact of light vehicle moving in a traffic lane against a safety barrier.
