The device has a breaking unit (1) arranged behind a blower in a conveying direction of insulating materials. The breaking unit includes a housing (2) enclosing a brush (4), which is movably driven around a rotation axis. The brush is provided with multiple bristles (5) with a spiral outer contour, radially projecting row-like regions and recessed intermediate regions. The housing includes an outlet (11) arranged at a distance (a) relative to an inlet (10) in a direction of the rotation axis. The housing is provided with a hollow cylindrical inner contour.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Einblasen von Dämmstoffen mit einer Aufflockeinheit (1). Diese ist mit einem Gehäuse (2) aus einem an beiden Enden geschlossenen zylindrischen Körper ausgestattet, welches in seinem Inneren eine mittels eines Antriebs (12) um eine Rotationsachse beweglich antreibbare Bürste (4) aufnimmt. Diese Bürste (4) ist mit einer Vielzahl von Borsten (5) unterschiedlicher Länge ausgestattet, deren schneckenförmige Außenkontur durch radial vorspringende reihenförmige Bereiche konstanter Breite gebildet wird, die durch zurückgesetzte Zwischenbereiche getrennt sind. In einem Ringspalt (8) zwischen der Bürste (4) und einer Innenwandfläche (9) des Gehäuses (2) wird im Betrieb der rotierenden Bürste (4) eine Zerkleinerung der Dämmstoffe durch eine Scherbeanspruchung sowie eine Förderwirkung des Dämmstoffs in Richtung der Rotationsachse erreicht. Diese Scherbeanspruchung löst Materialanhäufungen auf und führt zu eine materialschonenden Aufbereitung.
