[origin: WO2011095578A1] In a machine tool having a spindle head (17), in which tools (22) for machining workpieces (41, 42, 43) are mounted in a rotatably driven manner about the longitudinal axes (23) thereof, the spindle head (17) is mounted pivotably about a pivot axis (19) on a traveling column (11) and can be linearly displaced in three axes (14, 16, 18) relative to a workpiece chucking device (25). The spindle head (17) is mounted pivotably about a vertical pivot axis (19) such that the tools (22) mounted in the spindle head (17) extend horizontally. Furthermore, the workpiece chucking device (25) for receiving at least one elongated workpiece (41, 42, 43) is designed and configured such that the workpiece (41, 42, 43) can be pivoted about a horizontal pivot axis (29).
