[origin: WO2011095713A2] The treatment comprises the following steps a) to d): a) a batch of a plurality of so-called natural stoppers (900a) is provided and submerged in a liquid composition (903) comprising a polymer material (P), under a pressure P1 higher than the atmospheric pressure PA, b) then, optionally, the batch is treated in a vacuum, c) said batch is wrung out, and d) the batch is subjected to a heat treatment. Stoppers having a composite cork skin L impregnated with the polymer material P, symbolically represented by "L+P", are obtained.
