Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2535280A2] The method involves guiding a carrier tape (5) with labels (3, 4) toward a dispensing edge (6), and detaching the labels from a conversion device (7) e.g. roller or conveyor belt. A support web is guided over the dispensing edge such that a side of the support web is located in direct contact with the dispensing edge. The labels at the dispensing edge are spread on the support web during dispensing process, and the remote labels are applied at the side of the support web, where circumferential speed of the conversion device corresponds to web speed of the support web. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing labels.
