The fire protection system has a receiving body with a hollow space and a fire protection plate made from inorganic porous material, particularly mineral wool, where a fire protection unit expands under the action of heat. The fire protection unit is arranged on the surface side of the fire protection plate or in the hollow space of the receiving body. The fire protection unit is arranged only in the partial areas on the upper surface of the fire protection plate or in the hollow space of the receiving body.

Ein Brandschutzsystem mit einem Aufnahmekörper mit einem Hohlraum sowie einer hierin angeordneten Brandschutzplatte (32) aus anorganischem porösem Material, insbesondere Mineralwolle, und mit einem Brandschutzmittel (33), welches unter Wärmeeinwirkung aufschäumt. Dabei ist das Brandschutzmittel (33) oberflächenseitig auf der Brandschutzplatte (32) und/oder im Hohlraum des Aufnahmekörpers aufgetragen und dort nur in Teilbereichen angeordnet. Dieses Brandschutzsystem zeichnet sich dabei dadurch aus, dass die Menge des Brandschutzmittels über den Auftragbereich variiert. Damit wird ein gattungsgemäßes Brandschutzsystem derart weiterentwickelt, dass dessen Brandschutzwirkung bei einer reduzierten Menge an Brandschutzmittel gegenüber dem Stand der Technik verbessert wird. Darüber hinaus werden auch entsprechende Verbesserungen bei einer Brandschutztür, einem Brandschutz-Wandelement und auch an einer Brandschutzplatte (32) erzielt.
