[origin: WO2011101020A1] The invention relates to a method for obtaining combustible fuels and gases from organic materials (1), wherein the organic materials (1) are thermally decomposed and thereby the combustible fuels and gases are formed and carbon is formed. The carbon produced in the thermal decomposition is reacted in a steam atmosphere to form carbon monoxide and hydrogen in a synthesis process following the decomposition. The invention further relates to a corresponding hybrid device, comprising a decomposition reactor (5) and to a synthesis reactor (10).
