Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2537561A2] The blocking device (10) has a pyrotechnic set (12) discharging heat during combustion and a thermo-expandable solid (14). The pyrotechnic set and the thermo-expandable solid are arranged relative to each other and to the passage way. The solid and the pyrotechnic set are so selected that the solid expand during combustion of the pyrotechnic set and closes the passage way. The passage way is an opening (18). The blocking device also has a container (16) with another opening (20), where the pyrotechnic set and the solid are arranged in the container.
