[origin: WO2011101486A1] The invention relates to a system for electronically providing an access authorization for a user to a location selected by the user, comprising at least one access reporting device which signals a respective user identification of the user that is stored on at least one portable data carrier of an access-authorized user via a data network to a transmission device, said device electronically transmitting the reported user identification via the data network to at least one access read device provided at the respective selected location. Said access read device grants the user access to the selected location if the user identification that is stored on the portable data carrier of the user and that is read by the access read device from the data carrier, corresponds to the user identification that was electronically transmitted to the access read device.
