Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2540362A1] The rollercoaster drive element comprises a rail portion (10), which is designed to guide a passenger car. Another rail portion (20) extends in a plane and is mounted on a stage, where the plane is guided to an inclined surface, which is perpendicular to the plane. The plane is arranged on another plane placed on a frame (140). A mounting device is designed to hold a platform (120) in an upper position and operates to release the stage from an upper position for a free fall. The mounting device has a magnetic holding device, which is fixed on the stage. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a rollercoaster amusement ride.
