Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2540446A1] The device has a piston holder including a positioning unit for positioning a piston pin (50) along direction such that the piston pin is arranged vertically. An assembly tool (1) pushes a snap ring (30) progressively in a receiving groove (52) provided in the piston pin. The assembly tool comprises engagement guides or flanges (12, 13) that hook and push the snap ring during downward movement and rotation of the tool until the snap ring is received in the receiving groove. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembly of a snap ring.
