Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2541574A1] The double breaking protective switching device (1) has switching contacts (10,20) which are electrically connected in series with respect to each other. The arc extinguishing chambers (13,23) are arranged adjacent to each other for erasing the arcs (14-1,14-2,24-1,24-2) generated while opening the switching contacts respectively. A common blowing loop (30) electrically connected to the switching contacts is energized only when the arcs are commutated so as to drift the arcs with respect to arc extinguishing chambers.
