Abstract (en)
The connector (1) has a tightening element i.e. blind rivet (4), for bringing two jaws (2a, 2b) closer together. Each jaw has a conductive contact element (21) with two active parts (22) projecting from a receiving face of a stiff insulating body (20) so as to penetrate conductive cores (30) of two electrical cables, respectively. The rivet is configured such that a shank of the rivet contracts in an axial direction between cable installation and in-service positions under the action of a mandrel of the rivet, and the mandrel breaks when the jaws are brought closer together by a preset stroke.

Il s'agit d'un connecteur configuré pour prendre une position de mise en place des câbles entre des mâchoires (2a, 2b), pour prendre une position de service où les câbles sont pris en sandwich entre les mâchoires (2a, 2b) et pour passer de la position de mise en place des câbles à la position de service par rapprochement des mâchoires (2a, 2b), avec un organe de serrage qui est un rivet aveugle (4).
