Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011107580A1] The invention relates to a pad (1), in particular for use in the nursing care and hospital fields, comprising an elastic spacer textile (2), which is surrounded by an elastic molded foam body (4), wherein a separating layer (3) is disposed between the molded foam body (4) and the spacer textile (2). By foaming the molded foam body (4) to the spacer textile (2), the pad (1) can be produced in any arbitrary outside contour (S), wherein uncontrolled penetration of the molded foam body (4) into the spacer textile (2) and a related undesirable increase in the compressive strength are voided by the separating layer (3). The pad (1) is thus very comfortable to lie and/or sit on.
